Panelists agreed on the huge potential of ‘attribute exchange’ to facilitate ‘channel shift’ and ‘digital by default’ in delivering public services at the AnswerTime recorded on February 4th.

Attribute exchange, as is explained in the video highlights of the discussion, is a way of overcoming problems of personal identity and proof of eligibility when transacting online, based on secure sharing of data between verified parties.

As such it is set to deliver huge savings and real transformation in the customer experience of transacting with public services.

The discussion is led by panelists David Alexander, Chief Executive of Mydex CIC (who sponsored the event); Ian Litton, Strategy, Programme and Information Manager, Warwickshire County Council; Martin Sadler, Head of ICT at Walsall Council and Chair of the Society of IT Management (Socitm) West Midlands region; and Kofi Ackah – Business Change Manager Birmingham City Council.

Joe Tibbetts, Editor of the Information Daily chaired proceedings.
