May 2015 election campaign kicks off with NHS as the football

Gowland and Tibbetts ask three key questions: do our politicians know what they're talking about when it comes to the NHS, is the NHS over regulated and are regulators like taxes, once established impossible to get rid of.

As the fine words of the party conferences get recycled as wrappers for fish suppers, Tibbetts and Gowland scratch their heads over some of the dafter party political pronouncements on the future of healthcare and the NHS and take a good, long, clear look at the super-abundance of regulators in the NHS. What are they, why do they exist and are they really serving any useful purpose?

RealityBites - The National Healthcare Conversation is a weekly podcast, between Ben Gowland and Joe Tibbetts, focussing on healthcare and UK health and care services.
